Obama warns McCain: Go after U.N. Ambassador Rice? ‘You have a problem with me.’

It's too bad McCain did not go after Obama four years ago, not that the election would have turned out any differently but it would have been nice to see some of that fire back then. I too am not a fan of McCain.

Obama could nominate Assad from Sryia as SecOState and I doubt McCain & Co could do much to stop it!
But maybe the GOP will find a pair over this, over something.

And he'd probably do a better job than Kerry or Rice.

Is that the 2008 narrative now? McCain lost because ho didn't try hard enough?
Next you'll tell me McCain was part of a "plan" to get Gov Romney some good exposure but not have to deal with the economic and war legacy of the previous eight Republican years. And, who knows -- maybe things might improve a tad (even a blind pig will find a truffle once in awhile). But, after we run the Dim down for four long years we bring out Gov Romney and he wins by a landslide!
Oh crap, that WAS the plan!
If this keeps up I may never get to vote for a Republican again! And 1980 through 1992 were very happy years for me.
I'm with the majority on this one, at least. Bring it and let's see where the chips fall.

I will give some credit to the normally meek and mild Lindsey Graham. When Obama suggested that those with a problem should go after him. Graham did so almost immediately:

While I can understand a president standing up for one of his people, I do wish the current president had found a way to express that support in a less confrontational way. Something along the lines of "I am fully confident that Ambassador Rice will answer satisfactorily any reasonable question put before her in a fair hearing."
(And where would things be if the White House had just made sure that everyone was on the same page IRT talking about Benghazi. "We're still gathering information about the attacks so at this time we're going to ask for the patience of the American people.")

He's a thug and thugs don't talk like that. Well, unless they're reading from a teleprompter.

IMO, he's neither a bad ass nor even a guy with a bad attitude.
He's a guy who campaigned for a job because he wanted the job even though he was not ready for the job that he wanted. (In his most private moments, I wonder what the president now thinks of all the times he said of Bush the Younger "I could do a better job than THAT guy.")

But Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) said Wednesday that he would not bring the senators’ resolution up for a vote. And Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) also said Wednesday that she wouldn’t support establishing a select committee: “We’re doing our inquiry, that’s already underway.”

Apparently, steriod use in professional baseball is much more important to investigate than the failure to ensure the safety of the President's personal representative in a foreign country.

In his remarks, Obama also denied that the military or CIA held back any assets or effort in attempts to rescue the Americans under attack. “My orders to my national security team were to do whatever we need to do to make sure they are safe,” Obama said.

If Obama didn't want Ambassador Rice's reputation impuned or her intelligence questioned, he shouldn't have sent her out unprepared or to lie for him. Big boy rules....
