A highly decorated Army lieutenant colonel says he was essentially blacklisted by his superiors after more than 50 Muslim groups complained about a course he taught on radical Islam. Now he is fighting to get his career back.
As previously reported by TheBlaze, Lt. Col. Matthew Dooley, a West Point graduate and decorated combat veteran, was an instructor at the Joint Forces Staff College at the National Defense University, where he was reportedly popular among students and fellow staff members, FoxNews.com reports.
That all changed when Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, slammed Dooley and his “Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism” course during a Pentagon press conference in May, calling his teachings unprofessional and “against our values.”

From what I have read, Wired wrote a piece over the guest speaker LTC Dolley had brought in to speak on. The guest lecturer had been talking about "what if" scenarios, a common way the military strategizes: Envision a potential scenario and figure out how to deal with at set topic during the lecture. The Military has been teaching this class and POI since 2004. The Pentagon found no fault in any of the course matterial or instructors. Col. Dooley’s course, which he began teaching in 2010, had been taught the same way since 2004. All the material for the course was approved by the university.They are sacking this LTC over two Muslim groups that filed a complant?? WTH.. But once it got over a set number I guess (50) "THEY" the military higher ups had to react. Typically.. React to a problem not to forsee it coming.
So now what.. If your instructor you not only need to watch your back of your co-worker doing you wrong. You have to watch your back to the DoD and the body that approvals your course. Umm TRADOC, FORCOM, ETC??
