Sadly, this is one of those nations Sen. Kerry wants to use as a political litmus test for future actions.

If we still hear about this a week from now I will be amazed.

Recently Chirac, who is an old Japan enthusiast, has named that country a model for France and Europe to follow instead of the USA.

Great, wide-spread corruption, pork barrel politics and close contacts between the ruling party and organized crime are going to do wonders for European growth.

Maybe we can take up deflation too?
