Minnesota to build new stadium for Vikings

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d...content_stream

IMO, this is a big victory for the sports world. Minnesota has very passionate fans and the team itself has a rich history. The last thing it needs is a relocation to LA, where professional football has already been tried and proven to be little more than an afterthought....

Until the price tag for matching funds is announced then Minny football may not look so attactive. Besides, part of the big brass balls, purple people eaters fear of playing there was the open air stadium which, it seems, no one wants. Schade.

That is our policy.” You ask; What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill

I was thinking the same thing. Lambeau and Soldier Field are both outdoors, and they have given the Packers and Bears an advantage in many home games over the years. Football in the Minnesota cold just sounds awesome...

So if it is being built with tax money, does that make it a public building where the NFL can't ban lawful conceal carry of firearms?
