He's considering Bachmann or DeMint for running mates. Or Rubio. Or West-all of whom would be good for the Country-but...

He won't get the black vote because they'll think he's a tom. He won't get the mex vote because they'll think he'll send 'em back. He won't get the broad vote because he doesn't have enough hair and doesn't arouse them sufficiently.

That's why, sadly, it'll be Romney who'll be the nominee, IMMHO.

Centrist kowtow specialist with big hair.

Now, if Romney would run with Palin as VP...

He might be surprising. His entry will bring out some good debates at the least, and will make people do some thinking.

He and Rubio could clean up this one-horse Country.

I watched the Herman Cain announcement on CSPAN tonight and he certainly knows how to pitch to an audience. He is a very effective speaker and clearly gets the message across. As he said, "the country needs a leader, not a reader."

He may do well among black voters because his style comes right out of the black church experience. He sounds like a black preacher getting wound up on Sunday morning. A debate with BHO and Cain would be a treat to watch.

His success as a black businessman will resonate with much of the black middle class who may feel that BHO promised much and delivered nothing.

Whatever Herman Cain may be, he is not boring.

Yeah, but how big is his stash?

I figure a minimum of 80% of blacks vote Dem. Always. Cain's not a Dem.

Used to be that way with Jews until somebody's teleprompter fucked the poodle.

It's going to be hard to call him a Tom - especially since he went to Morehouse. He grew up poor so that will also help him.

He's near the top of my list right now. If he doesn't win the GOP nomination, whoever does would be very smart to put him on as a VP candidate. It's the only way to remove the race card our of the debate, or a least some of the race card out of the debate as the far left will Always throw it out there.

Of course I don't understand what's so racist about not liking an IRISHMAN's policy...

That is a hoot since he only listed African American on the census form.

But this is America and everybody is Irish - at least one day of the year.

Cain does a really good job in a debate. He will definately shake up anybody's calculus in a presidential run.

A couple of weeks ago, I attended a speech given by Dick Morris. Morris stated that whoever wins the nomination would be a fool to not pick Rubio as a running mate.

I would vote for Cain over Romney, Huck, Gingrich, or most of the other announced Repub candidates.

If both major parties have black candidates, are we a post-racial nation then?

No. The discrimination/prejudice angle has flipped 180 degrees, but it's still there.

A Cain/Rice candidacy might make for an interesting change to the prospect of another otherwise blase' electoral circus - a leadership + economics and leadership + foreign policy/national security team.

Only two ways I'd vote for Condi.

1. She proves she didn't vote for Obama in '08.

2. She runs against Obama.

Same here. He is a communicator and knowledgeable about the substance.
I did a write up about him back in April.

I really hope the GOP pulls their heads out of their fourth point of contact and starts taking Cain seriously.

Our country needs something like this right now. He is the right character for the show.
