ABILENE, Texas — A former Army lieutenant colonel was sentenced on Friday to 18 months in prison on claims of accepting illegal gratuities from Iraqi contractors and stealing from Iraqi fuel reserves.
David Charles Pfluger, 56, of Abilene had pleaded guilty to a four-count indictment charging him with one count of conspiracy, two counts of accepting gratuities, and one count of conversion of third party property by a U.S. official.
While serving in Iraq, Pfluger agreed with an Army translator and various local contractors to accept gratuities in the form of cash, jewelry and clothing from contractors in return for official acts to benefit the contractors, officials said.
Pfluger received the gratuities in Iraq and sent them home in the mail. He admitted receiving about $11,500 in cash, plus clothing and jewelry.
This is way to close to home....I live in Abilene!

Was this a GCM or a civvie court? The article makes not mention of Leavenworth, a GCM, or a Dishonorable, all of which have longer term repercussions to him i.e. VA, retirement, employment, etc.
