I believe that SF is a 'calling' - not too different from the calling missionaries I know received. I knew instantly that it was for me, and that I would do all I could to achieve it. I remember literally bumping into him at the PX on Bragg, he had me by 3 stars to my E3 and 100 pounds, thus I profusely uttered my apologies and stepped aside while he continued on his merry way. IIRC he was carrying a big stogie in his left hand and that occurred in the spring of 1983. RIP Sir.
