Tourists hurt in Hill City's staged Western shootout

Tourists hurt in Hill City's staged Western shootout

http://www.rapidcityjournal.com/news...cc4c03286.html

"Three tourists were injured Friday night when a simulated Western shootout in Hill City went dangerously awry......................."

Been doing it for a long time. New "cowboys" - new blanks or somebody messed with the guns and loads?

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/...75H21V20110618

"........."We don't have a clear picture of exactly what took place out there at this point in time," Lieutenant Marty Graves said, adding that the injured showed signs of wounds consistent with gunshots, but there were no bullets or fragments recovered. ..............."

I use to do the Civil War reenactments. I always worried about some Reenactor crossing the line from pretend to insanity. Some of those guys got into it to the point of uncomfortable sometimes. But it was a blast doing it.

WAG,, My money is on the powder wad or what ever they topped off the BP charge with. If it had been BULLETS, all the anti-gun MSM would be screaming..

The felt wads I use in my 1860 Army repro penetrate a paper target in 20 ft.

I would not want to catch one with my face..
