Vets Angry After Navy Sec. Names Warship After Former Dem Rep. Murtha

Vets Angry After Navy Sec. Names Warship After Former Dem Rep. Murtha
Traditionally, secretaries of the Navy get the honor of naming warships in America’s Naval fleet. But Navy Secretary Ray Mabus is running into stiff opposition over his latest pick: the late Pennsylvania congressman John Murtha.

Read it here:

I respect the fact that the man served. Otherwise, his attacks on Marine personnel as a means of suggesting that we were murdering Iraqis, all for political posturing, is unforgivable. Not to mention the corruption allegations. I would rather this ship be named after our latest KIA.

What the airport(no one uses) in his name isnt enough. How about the MoH awardees from both Astan or Iraq who were either Navy or Marines..

There was also talk of the possiblity that Murtha "exaggerated" his service a "bit".
