How delusional are the people at CNN

I guess if you tell a lie enough times you yourself begin to believe it.

By John Eggerton -- Broadcasting & Cable, 8/6/2004 2:22:00 PM

Time Warner Inc. chairman Dick Parsons Friday described Fox News Channel as "crazy people exchanging views," telling a group of minority journalists in Washington he felt that the channel and his own Cable News Network are two different services.

When asked by Univision Anchor Jorge Ramos why CNN was losing the ratings battle with Fox, he was not ready to concede that. He said that Fox was more like talk radio on TV, which meant that its viewers stayed longer because people tended to "come and sit down for an hour or two and listen to crazy people exchange views." CNN actually draws more viewers, he said, but said they were grazers who didn't stay long.

Parsons said he did not feel CNN was liberal, but instead has a bias for the truth. He conceded that journalists are often perceived as liberal because they tend to challenge the establishment. He did not make an overt comparison with Fox, but he did say that his news operation "does not give a corporate slant to its journalism. We don't tell them how to report."

I propose a simple test to see how valid the media is. Since they seem to be know more than anyone else in charge of foriegn policy and how to do it better, let them be completely responsible for same. I wonder what language the American survivors would be required to learn? My own thoughts about the media: "Those for whom everything is provided have the luxury of condemning those who provide." So their report on Operation TAILWIND, Peter Arnett reporting from a Baby Milk factory in Baghdad, or footage of full-auto AK when discussing the Assault Weapons Ban would be representative of their unbiased reporting?

Hahaha!

That's just "helping" because they know what's best for us who aren't smart enough to figure it out ourselves. Good to have you back Sir.

Went and treated myself to a root canal yesterday. The female doc had a TV located in the ceiling so the patient could watch TV while she worked.

She asked me before she started, “what would you like to watch?â€

My reply, “Fox news.â€

She laughed and said, “Good choice!â€

My thoughts, the people are getting sick of CNN's bullshit.

Watching CNN is like watching the Jerry Springer show, a lot of hype and half truths.

Isn’t michael moore on the board of directors at CNN?

CNN doesn't have a BoD. People there also don't particularly like Moore. Of course, as I have noticed in a dozen conversations with typical NYC lefties in the past few months, they are willing to look beyond likes and dislikes when it comes to advancing a common agenda.

Here is a nice little story on Moore and CNN at the Dem's convention (second story): http://www.nydailynews.com/news/goss...p-186001c.html

Well, aren't you the lucky dog!

I would rather have a root canal than watch the swill docudrama (I hate it when they call it a documentary) from Moore.

I was surprised when I had a root canal. It really was no big deal. Then again, it didn't work long-term and they want to remove that tooth and put in an implant.
