Gubernatorial Candidate in Tennessee

I was not sure where to post this. I came close to the comedy zone and I have my doubts about some of the things he has stated. I am hoping that some of y'all are from Tennessee and know more about this gentleman. His name is Basil Marceaux. He has some "interesting" ideas that I will say are being presented in a less than professional manner. Here are URL's

Yes I did check he is on the ballot.

I hate to ask but this gentlemen is claiming to be a Force Recon Marine, I went to the online archives and it appears that those who have served have easier access to those records is there any chance one of y'all would check this gentleman's service record.

This also begs the question is everything okay in Tennessee?

No Tv Ads

Judging from his professional website and speech making ability, it would not shock me to know that he can not afford to run Tv advertisements. He is on the ballot though, very curious to know if he actually served as a Force Recon Marine.

Well he has this authentic uniform with Marine Corps badge, so he must be legit...

I like his "qualifications" for Senator or Governor.

WHAT IS A GOOD SENATOR or GOVERNOR
1. FOLLOWS THE OATH TO THE CONSTITUTION
2. HAS WELL-BEING FOR THE CITIZENS RIGHTS AND SAFETY - I'm sure Barry O, Pelosi, etc.. feel they have this
3. PEOPLE PERSON - I think Bill probably has this wrapped up as much as I dislike his politics.
4. HONEST AND SMART - Clearly Basil doesn't meet this requirment
5. A GOOD LISTENER

Basil Marceaux, Sr.

He is actually a sad elder man.

He espouses most of the far right agenda of the lunatic fringe, such as:

- If there is a gold fringe on the American flag (as in a courtroom) it means we are under occupation.

- Driver's licenses are not required because we all have freedom to travel.

- All gun laws should be abolished.

- All laws made in the State of Tennesse since the invasion of the Union Army in 1866 are invalid, because the current state constitution was passed and ratified by an improperly formed Congress during reconstruction.

as well as some simply "kooky" ideas such as:

- If we just plant corn all along the sides of the roads and highways (instead of grass) we can harvest the corn and sell it to the Arabs for oil.

But, yes, he has qualified and is actually on the ballot for the August 5 primary election for governor, running as a Republican:

Well.............

Well, the Dem in SC made it through the primary.

Let's hope the Republicans in TN are a little more careful with their votes.
