As drugs and illegal immigrants increasingly pour into the U.S. from South America, one author and former Marine asks in his new book, who’s behind this infiltration and what can our government and military do to stop it?
Part intelligence brief, part tactical technique manual, “Homeland Siege: Tactics for police and military,” by H. John Poole, hypothesizes that communist China is responsible for pumping huge quantities of drugs and illegal immigrants across the U.S./Mexican border in an effort to destabilize the one nation powerful enough to stand up against its expansionist goals.
Part one of the abundantly sourced, 336-page book discusses which Hispanic and Asian gangs may be controlling the wholesale distribution of drugs in America.
“Our nation may be about to experience a severe crime wave,” Poole writes. “At its heart will be more drugs and gangs ... If U.S. streets are then flooded with Afghan heroin, the collective result could be catastrophic. That heroin can only enter this country through Mexico so one wonders which Asian entity will help with its transfer from Karachi.”
The first part also explores why a foreign power would indirectly assault America using what’s called fourth Generation Warfare (a style of warfare fought in four different arenas — martial, political, economic and psychological).
Parts two and three discuss the extent to which the U.S. military and police missions have merged over the years and provides readers with tactical knowledge regarding hostage rescue, drug route identification and collateral damage-free defense.
“Homeland Siege” is Poole’s tenth book dealing with military and paramilitary intelligence, strategy and tactics. His previous book, “Tequila Junction,” warns of the threat drug smuggling and communist expansion in Latin America pose to the U.S.
Much of the information and intelligence Poole puts in his manuals are gathered during trips to places like China, North Korea, Pakistan and Latin America. He then draws upon his experiences as a combat commander in Vietnam and an enlisted tactics instructor with the U.S. Marine Corps to construct these volumes with the goal of helping soldiers and police better understand national security issues.
“All of our books attempt to be studies that can be added to the larger body of knowledge,” Poole said. “We’re just trying to get the people to think, basically. The military is set up to pretty much go on what you’re told. So anytime you encourage people to look at a couple or two or three perspectives, it’ll help them.”
