CCT SRA Daniel Sanchez

Senior Airman Daniel R. Sanchez, 23, of El Paso, Texas, died Sept. 16 while conducting combat operations in Oruzgan province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Today, 19 Sep 10, was his memorial at Tarin Kowt--lots of red eyes in some old guys, as this 23 year old was remembered...

SRA Sanchez, and the detachment he was assigned to, was struck by enemy fire while trying to deliver ballots to the people of Afghanistan.

He was killed trying to free the oppressed.
