EATING CONTEST
Pa. man gulps 33 1/2 burritos, 19 pounds of grits

BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) "Humble Bob" Shoudt (showt) stuffed himself with 33 1/2 burritos in 10 minutes yesterday and 19 pounds of grits in 10 minutes today winning $3,700 for his efforts.

Bob Shoudt, of Royersford, Pa., is a professional eater in dozens of events each year sponsored by the International Federation of Competitive Eating.

He won $1,500 in the 2009 World Burrito eating championship at the New Mexico State Fair in Albuquerque yesterday. And he took home $2,200 in the grits eating contest near Shreveport, Louisiana, today.

Shroudt says he wasn't expecting the green chile inside the burritos to be so spicy. He says he's "a total wimp" when it comes to spicy food, and his "tongue was dancing." Next goal for "Humble Bob" is to win a $20,000 prize for eating the most hamburgers in eight minutes. It's the Krystal Square Off next weekend at the Krystal Burgers in Chattanooga "the Super Bowl of professional eating."
