I vaguely remember this show. I was 9 yo. We did not get to watch much TV. We were allowed a couple hours after dinner and Saturday AM. Never allowed to chose the show..

It was Lucy, Art Linkletter, Arthur Godfrey, Pro wrestling, baseball when available.

Thanks for the memories..

Though I was about JJ's age at the time, I remember it - possibly more from re-runs. When I found we were moving to Arizona in '63, I thought I might be able to be one of the "26 Men". It had a cool theme song!

<link is broken, so I couldn't see the information>

There is still an "Arizona Rangers" group - a civilian "auxillary" with several "companies" around the state. They help out at events, etc.

I'd love to get a DVD of the show to add to my small collection of "vintage" TV - "Sea Hunt" and Branded" (All but one man died, there at Bitter Creek...)!

Well, old John Slaughter "made men do what they ought-er, cuz if they didn't, they died!" IIRC, he spent his later years in S. Arizona.

Below the "26 Men" dvd in your link is another fav of mine "back in the day" - "Sgt. Preston of the Yukon"!

"On, King!"
