Absentee voters must submit ballot request

Absentee voters must submit ballot request

From this weeks Army Times, page 9. Sorry don't have the link.

"....Because of a change in law in 2009, states no longer are required to automatically send absentee ballots for the next two election cycles after service members submit an absentee ballot application.

A provision in the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act repealed that requirement over the objections of the Defense Department.........."

Gee, just in time to squash military absentee votes for the 2010 elections.

You folks better spread the word, I don't want to here any bitching when your ballot don't turn up in the mail this fall.

And yes, Bush was President, but the D's wrote this one.
