Napolitano adds adviser with ties to jihad groups
I searched here, the net, and searched my memory as well and DO NOT recall hearing or reading anything about this! If it's been posted here, please forgive my oversight....
I really have to wonder why we bother having Homeland Security at all anymore. This appointment of Kareem Shora, the ADC's national executive director (American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee; ADC takes an openly anti-Israel line) was slipped under our noses very quietly. He was appointed as an advisor: see this article: http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/026502.php#respond
But back in 2007, he had a lot to say about how the NYPD is responding to a growing homegrown terror threat in the USA....this article: http://rawstory.com/news/2007/NYPD_terror_report_unfair_to_Muslims_0816.html
Quote:

"The unfortunate language that the NYPD chose to use in this report seems to really contradict what the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI have told us," said Kareem Shora, executive director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.

Why am I not surprised by this?
Maybe he will help her hunt for the real terrorists. I mean, "man made disaster" creators.

I sense a tragedy in the making.
Peregrino, in his quotation of Cicero, said it best:
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."

Seems pretty legit - one should read the bios of the leadership.
http://www.adc.org/
According to the ADC bio of Shora:
He has also been selected by the Police Foundation to be part of their 2008 Advisory Board on the study of the role of local police in immigration enforcement. Shora is also the civil society representative on the G8 Experts Roundtable on Diversity and Integration.
Went to ADL to see what they had to say and there seems to be some problems with a couple of the ADC's regional chapters (there are 38 total) - especially of some of the more radical, younger members in California universities who are anti-Israeli and pro-Palestinian. Radical college students in California - I'm shocked.
http://www.adl.org/
Bottom line - seems a bit more complicated than the jihadwatch crew makes it sound. Go figure.
And so it goes...
