Former Gitmo guard converts to Islam

Maybe this should be under the "Things that piss me off" thread.

http://www.newsweek.com/id/190357?GT1=43002

Gitmo guard got bored during the quiet hours of his shift, so he started chatting up the detainees. Eventually converted right there in the cellblock.

On one hand, I generally respect someone's right to believe what they want, so long as it doesn't infringe on others. But, as has been discussed here previously, Islam doesn't have a great track record of "not infringing on others."

This sounds like the kind of crap a "most evil comrade" would pull.

"When his company visited the site of the 9/11 attacks in New York, Holdbrooks remembers thinking there had to be a broader explanation, and that the Bush administration must have colluded somehow in the plot."

Remind me to add Truthers to the things that annoy me page.

What amazes me about these people is how they assume the hyper-competency of government to pull off such an act and keep it a secret, yet refuse to believe it possible that the only religion in the world with no concept of forgiveness or atonement bred 20 murderers that took advantage of an open society.

Good point Pinhead,Islams track record isn't the greatest when it comes to tolerating other religions..... Agreed, this should belong in the things that piss me off thread.....

When I read the magazine article the other day at home, I wanted to reach in to the picture & rip that idiot's ear lobes off. What a douche bag.
