Damn! Wasn't that all happening just last month?

Does anyone recognize where the video came from? They seem to be heavily focused on the 173rd and ARVN.

A very good friend of mine who is also sort of my surrogate dad was one of the first of the "school house"-trained aviation door gunners back in the day and assigned to the 173rd. I'll forward these videos to him to see if he remembers. I wouldn't doubt it since after I told him about Big & Rich's "8th of November" video, he watched it and told me he was there and distinctly remembers that operation.

These are GREAT!!!

Some of the things I miss . . .
Steel pots with the chin strap secured on the back rim.
The sound of a Huey.
LBE / LCE once you replaced the big rear hooks with 550 cord.
LAWs and M-60's (the 240B weighs a TON)
Jungle fatigues with all those pockets
C-rats (too, sort of well, maybe one or two. Okay I liked the eggs. I miss the eggs.)

(But I'm not so old . . . I mean, experienced to have been to Vietnam)

And the music.
