Tiger escapes, attacks three on Christmas night.

A Siberian Tiger escaped from the San Francisco zoo on Christmas night. The cat attacked 3 people in the cafe at the zoo, killing one. Cops showed up and shot the tiger dead. The other 2 victims were taken to the hospital in serious, but stable condition.

Interestingly enough, turns out this is the same cat that escaped on the 26th of December last year, and mauled a Zoo worker at that same location.

Talk about freaky odds, and what a way to go on Christmas night.

It was probably, a good thing the Tiger was shot, he might have had to die a slow death of AIDs after biting people in that area.

Sounds like there may be more to the story.

Wait to see what develops.

I agree.

I also seem to remember my father telling me something I might expect to happen if I messed with the bull.

Probably several lawsuits pending over this.

TR,
Your father taught you well. The bull doesn't care nor is he interested much in talking about it.

Many years ago a friend and I fished our way down a small Cascade mountain stream in a kind of tight canyon. Fishing was pretty good because most folks wouldn't have gone there (maybe because the rules said not to).
We came around a corner and found a pair of black bear cubs...
...and mother. We forgot to try taunting the bear to see what she'd do.

How unimaginative of you. Such a wasted opportunity to taunt some of the local wildlife. I understand the mama bears have a tremendous amount of respect for those who throw rocks at their cubs. They recognize them as fearless, courageous and most likely to pick up women.

Siberian Tigers have hunted Humans in Siberia for hundreds of years. Humans were and still are the easiest prey for them. There are plenty of documented cases of Humans being stalked for weeks or months at a time by these Man Eaters.
Note to self: don't tease Siberian Tigers.

The "Ghost and the Darkness"

You can view their heads mounted at the Chicago Field Museum. They killed up to 135 men in Tsavo, Kenya while building the Uganda-Mambossa railway in 1889. Charles Remingting and a big game hunter named Ryle finally dispatched the two.

Just one example.

That's quite a range for a couple of Siberian Tigers....? I always thought the book to be about African lions...
