This should be interesting. Anyone experienced the "soothing music" yet? I see all these additions but notice that there is no mention of "attentive employees" or the 1:1 supervisor to worker ratio...
I'm sure that the immediately deleted images will end up on youtube eventually.
BWI To Get "Evolution" Checkpoint

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff heads to BWI-Marshall Airport today to announce changes in airport security checkpoints.
The Homeland Security Secretary will demonstrate what is called
"Checkpoint Evolution."
BWI is giving the new security checkpoint a test run.
While spokeswomen for the Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) refused to comment before Monday's news conference, the TSA website features videos to explain the features and goals of the website.
According to the website, the checkpoints will feature
"soothing music to calm passengers."
Officials say there will be
signs that are easier to read.
There are Plexiglas conveyor belts so passenger can see their luggage through the inspection process.
There is also a new full body scanner, which the TSA insists doesn't show a person's face, and where images are deleted immediately once reviewed.
There are also wider benches that passengers can use to repack carry-on and laptop bags, and put on shoes that have been removed for screening.
"A calm checkpoint is a win-win situation. It's great for the TSA. It's great for the passenger. It's great for the country," Earl Morris, Federal Security Director, explains in one of the videos.
Morris says the new checkpoint will make it easier for officers to distinguish, "between those with hostile intent and a well-intentioned passenger."
Chertoff will discuss the measures in an 11 am news conference.
