This video reminds me of an little story involving a self-inflicted katana wound.
A good friend of mine (actually, my best man at my wedding), was playing ninja in his apartment and managed to stab himself in the thigh.
(I'm not sure exactly how he managed this, as the katana was reasonably long.)
After stabbing himself, he felt light-headed and was worried about passing out and bleeding to death.
His solution was to bang his head against the wall to remain concious...
This didn't work quite a planned...as he nearly knocked himself out.
He managed to drive himself to the ER without inflicting further injury upon himself.
Of course, he had to
explain all of this to his CO.
IIRC, this was while he was in
medical school.
(He was prior enlisted at Ft. Detrick, it may have been then.)
Last I heard from him, he was going to be deployed to the sandbox working as a 61N.
I seem to remember another thread which described how doctors are more dangerous than gun owners.
This may be especially true when they upgrade from scalpels to katanas.
