Golf anyone???

Saw it with my own two eyes and almost soiled my armour.

Olde Sycamore is a quite snobbish course here in the Charlotte Area (evidenced by the "e" on olde)but a fine course non-the-less. On a particular Saturday everyone was backed up and we were the 3rd in line at the 8th hole. A group of seniors were taking their time in the middle of the fairway about 200yds out and an impatient gent in the tee box shouted, "Hit the f&^%$in ball!" The reply that came from one of the seniors was an emphatic, "1 minute" Emphasis was placed on the one with a simple gesture of a select finger from the foursome. Now, Mr I'm in a hurry jumped into his cart and roared down the fairway and jumped out of the still moving cart only to be confronted with a well swung 6 iron. 8 or 10 strokes later found the impatient one running from a group of 4 seniors. So the picture is a golf cart rolling along towards a water hazard, a guy trying to catch it, 4 seniors trying to gatch him and 6 of us trying to keep from peeing in our pants laughing. The guy gave up on the cart as it hit the water and his buddies swooped down just in time to pluck him from the path and get him to the clubhouse. About 20 minutes later we had a course martial drop by and at about the same time we could hear an ambulance in the background at the clubhouse. I reported that i had not seen anything but I think if golf is going to be this much fun I have to keep playing.

If I could be guarenteed to see something like that, I'd take up golf in a heartbeat!!

Many years ago, as an early teen's golfer, I used to earn money by working as a caddy on the weekends. This one Sunday, I watched a middle-aged man hit 3 balls in a row into the water hazard between the 8th and 9th holes on the front side at Odessa Country Club, Odessa, TX.

After the third ball went into the water, the golfer took each club from his bag, broke it over his knee, and threw it into the water. After breaking all of his clubs, he threw his golf bag into the water, followed immediately by his caddy.

He then stormed off the couse, shouting something about "never playing this f---ing game again". I think he kept his promise!

Sometimes when you don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at you.
It's your choice: Listen to the whisper, or wait for the brick.
