ISO: Quran w/reliable Commentary
I will be deploying to Iraq in late summer and I would like to better understand, culturally, what I am getting into. I was advised to find a copy of the Quran with commentary from a reliable scholar rather than try to wade through the book myself. Does anyone know of a specific book/author (if that is the word to be used) that I should look for? Thank you in advance for your help.
