Hell of an intro, in the wrong place. At least you filled out your profile.
Introduce yourself in the proper place, read all the stickies, and don't get your panties in a knot, with this kind of SA and question, you probably won't make selection. Have you read Major Martin's book, "Get Selected"? The packing list is the packing list is the packing list.
Have a very SF day.

Other than meeting packing lit requirements, why would you be wearing underwear?
DO NOT ANSWER THAT - IT'S A RHETORICAL QUESTION.
After Ranger School, I could not get used to wearing it in uniform.
TMI?

I never wore shorts/underwear in VN! Didn't wear them afterward either.
But the list, is the list!!

I never liked wearing them in the field, either.
My dad said in VN he didn't wear drawers, tshirts or socks on either of his tours.

I would have KILLED for a pair of Under Armour boxer briefs during selection... they are the only thing that will keep me from rubbing during extended movements.
Instead, I got to spend what little free time I had rubbing foot powder into my groin.
Is THAT too much information?

If you are running 5 to 6 miles a day, rubbing shouldn't be an issue......

Take 'em cause they are on the list. Don't wear 'em because they will fungify your junk.

You might try rubbing a little Body Glide on the area. It comes in a stick that looks like antiperspirant and won't sweat off. I used to use it during triathlons when I needed to complete a long bike course in a swimsuit. Works like a charm.

People who have never been to SFAS need to stop answering questions about it.
I am going to repeat myself, for those who are reading impaired.
READ THE FUCKING LIST, GET-OVERS, AND DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING THAT IS NOT ON IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK BEING RETURNED TO YOUR UNIT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SHAKEDOWN.
That is all.
