General Officer Assignments

This is more in the category of The Late Bird, but doesn't seem to have been posted previously (unless I missed it).

Damn, I knew MG Harrell when he was a lowly CPT at B/2/10.

Well, they had to find someone to work at USASOC who could spell SF.

Pagan was in my OBC, we were in 7th Group together twice, and he is a good man. Proud to call him a friend. He will do well in SWCS.

Ouch, that stung, Sir. It may even leave a mark. And how did you know then-CPT Harrell was one of the grammar police?

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with MG Harrell via email a few months ago.
He was enjoying what he called their "European vacation" and didn't have much to say at the time regading coming back into the community.
He was my Co Cdr in the 82d for a short while, sold me a wrist watch he didn't need ...said he wanted to get the wife a nice B-day present. The watch flooded with water after less than a week..... Yes, he made good on it.

A Great Choice

Congratulations, Gary; the Army is finally making some good decisions. Did you know your ole dive buddy (KH) has his second star (probably because he didn't branch to SF). If you see this give me a PM for old time sake. Dave
