I Fell!!!

Thought it would be funny to share my experience today with anyone out there in PS.com land, who might need a chuckle?

Well, there I was, at the sink, attempting to turn in a mixing bowl and wire wisk that had just assisted me in turning some ingredients for muffins into a proper dish, for sanitation...when it happened.

While reaching for the rim of the sink,...my feet flew out from under me, and I landed on my 4th POC, in a thump! In any case, it was horendously embarrasing, and as I heard my French Instructor yell acorss the kicthen, "Are you okay, Holly?," I just said, "Yes Chef!" And attempted to go on my merry little way. Oh the embarressment!!! And yep! AM sore as a bruised pineapple right about now, despite my tub soaking!

Anyone else ever have "these" days???

Holly

I hope your bruised bum and ego both recover soon.

Two weeks ago I was riding bikes with the family along Anchorage's Coastal Trail. My youngest son (8 yrs) suddenly stopped in front of me. I hit the brakes, flew over the handle bars and landed on the pavement. Thank heaven my graceful dismount happened at a rare moment when the trail was clear of other bikers, walkers and photographers. (Lesson learned: no sightseeing while riding my bike.) A friend of mine with a very avid biking family said in regards to our first bike outing of the year: "Cool. First Blood! That usually happens to me."

I didn't feel like Rambo one bit.

While touring the old house where I lived until the age of 9 I was talking and gesticulating with great animation to my children and grandchildren. I stepped on my untied shoelace and took a header off the porch onto the cement landing below (about 2') in front of everyone.

Although quite embarrassing I was lucky. I rolled to my shoulder on the way down and protected my head. I bounced up bravely but red faced. Got lectured about how bad I was going to feel the next day. The great news. They were all wrong. Small scrape on my hand, no bruise, no stiffness, no pain, no...

Lesson: God protects babies and drunks and old Grandfathers. Go figure.
