Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Anyone see Sofia Loren? She sure looks great for her age!
But you can't tell me they couldn't find anyone ELSE besides Susan Sarandon to be part of the group that carried the Olympic Flag. (I think it was they Olympic Flag, I stepped away for a minute and came back to that...)

Sarandon? Just how does she rate????
I might watch some of the hockey but could care less about the rest. In my view the Association cheapened the Olympics when they allowed professionals to participate.

I watched a good part of the opening ceremonies. The music accompanying the introduction of the athletes was good!
Gypsy, agree with both your points.

Michelle Kwan -- The Right Stuff.
The last games really turned me off with all of the controversy, whining, protesting etc. To me the one bright spot was Sarah Ferguson. She competed her heart off, won the gold, and almost humbly accepted her lauels and returned to school to hardly be heard from again. She is a very classy young woman. One commentator yesterday said she didn't deserve the gold. BULL!!
Michelle Kwan has been the babe of the media since her pre-teens. She is evidently incredibly unlucky but I think to when the USA girls gymnists won the gold. They overcame some serious injuries to win.
I just wonder if Michelle Kwan was ever really made of the right stuff. This is not to say she isn't a very nice woman -- I just wonder if she was worth all of the media hype.

I really do not like figure skating. I was, however, watching with my wife when the Chinese pair skated. It was a very spectacular fall. I was very impressed with their decision to continue their routine. That said, and as impressive as they skated, there were a number of teams that didn't fall down, and they weren't awarded medals.

I believe it was Peggy Flemming who fell during her long program. She skated so well that she still won the gold.
I see Sarah Hughes' sister Emily is replacing Michelle Kwan.

All the damned tv seems to want to cover is the figure skating, how about humping those damn cameras up the hill so we can watch some 90 MPH downhill skiing?
I quit watching figure skating way back when our homegirl Tanya broke a shoelace and quit.

Its coming!! In fact they showed a few awsome crashes during practice.
The downhill course is awsome and you'll see a lot of air.

I'll TiVo most of the hockey games and maybe watch a few other things, but hockey is what I really am interested in. The US team has a legitimate shot this year.

Men or women or both? I saw something on the women. It looks like the only team that has beaten them is the Casnadians and that game was close.
I like most of the alpine events except for slalom.

I really only follow men's hockey. But I will say that the level of play among the women is quite high -- I used to take lessons from someone who played on the Olympic team, and she can really play.
