Define "shady deal" please. I read that the guy was found guilty in a court of law and has yet to be sentanced.

Indeed, his sentencing should be interesting. Innocent until proven guilty, and he looks to be guilty by the jury.

The most interesting thing is how the defense called no witnesses.

If anybody has a good judicial grasp, could you maybe explain this?

I am not a lawyer therefore I do not have the impertinence to claim "good judicial grasp" as I am but a humble policeman. However knowing well the function of the judicial system I based my original question to your comment "shady deal" observing that the system in this case obviously worked, and the man was found guilty by a jury of his peers. Plea bargains are commonplace in the Attorney General's office and is a double edged tool in court. I cannot intelligently comment on the strategy of the defense in this case as I am not familier with it. Is it your position that the defendant is "shady", or do you consider the system somehow flawed? Please enlighten me.

Good question.

Since he is a new member and has no real history here prior to this, I can only assume that he wants to troll for an argument or to smear SOCOM.

Do you have a question, an observation, some knowledge of the acquisition process, thoughts about civilian contractors with military backgrounds, or are you just typing to hear the little clicking sound on your keyboard? Perhaps you just don't like Colonels, retired or otherwise?
