In a surprising twist of geopolitical gymnastics, some Western liberals have found themselves in an awkward tango with the Islamic Republic of Iran...
...a nation whose policies seem to contradict nearly every value they claim to champion.

It’s a fascinating case study in selective outrage, where principles are shelved in favor of political convenience or, perhaps, a misguided sense of cultural relativism.

Take, for instance, the plight of Iranian women. For years, they’ve been fighting a courageous battle against oppressive laws that dictate their clothing, behavior, and basic freedoms. Yet, the same voices that once rallied for "women’s rights everywhere" seem to have misplaced their megaphones when it comes to Iran.

Perhaps the struggle of women risking imprisonment, or worse, or removing their hijabs doesn’t quite fit the narrative when it’s inconvenient to criticize a regime that’s currently at odds with Western foreign policy interests.

Then there’s Iran’s treatment of the LGBT community. In a country where being gay can lead to imprisonment, defenestration, or even execution, one might expect an outpouring of solidarity from progressive activists. Instead, there’s a curious silence.

It’s almost as if the rainbow flags are temporarily furloughed when the conversation shifts to a nation that governs with strict religious principles. After all, why let a little thing like systemic violence against LGBT individuals get in the way of a good anti-Western narrative?

Perhaps the most ironic twist is the sudden willingness to celebrate a theocratic regime. A government that openly enforces religious doctrine as law. For years, the mere mention of religion influencing policy in the West has been met with cries of "separation of church and state!"

Yet, when it comes to Iran, some seem willing to overlook the fact that its entire legal system is rooted in Sharia law. It’s almost as if theocracy is only bad when it’s happening close to home.

In the end, this peculiar dance of selective outrage and moral flexibility as it resides squarely in the hearts and minds of the american left, raises an important question:
Are principles truly principles if they’re only applied when convenient?
Are priciples just props to be used and discarded depending on the political winds?
Is the orangemanbad or is he terrible?

They probably existed. But seeing how the USA is reacting to any threat now a days they are probably scared.

Way back in September 2001 a salesman asked if I was aware that the city I lived in was the No 2 Terrorist Destination in the US, and handed me a newspaper (I believe it was USA Today) which a large map of the US marked with locations of terror cells throughout the US.

That was published within 2-5 days after 9-11 yet I have have never been able to find article through Google, the WayBack Machine, etc. It’s just disappeared…….until I mentioned on here a very long time ago, and I got a DM essentially saying ‘Looking for this’. It was the exact page and map I had been looking for. Was the map accurate? I was told yes, they walk among us.

In 20 some years we’ve gone from zero mosques to probably 10-20, mostly small and a at least one No Go Zone in Somali territory which is near the Swift Foods packing plant.

Aside from the 435 Shooter, Mohammed Pedro Whitaker and the Somali bomb makers in Anderson, Mo, both of which the media put on mute, it’s been a stealthly and peaceful Jihad which has been embraced by suburban white women on NextDoor who do fund raisers and coat drives for the wonderful Somali Community. These same suburbanites frequent the protests for No Kings, Free Palestine and any other nitch causes that appears on the local protest board.

The “upside” that I can see with these clowns is they either won’t reproduce (in a perfect world they would be sterilized) or if they do have offspring, they will be even weaker than their genetic predecessors……..

I believe that most of your average Americans (those that love their family, country and freedoms) have had just about enough of the whistle blowing, choose your identity, open the borders bullshit and are beginning to push back. There certainly isn’t much if any of it going on around Eastern TN.

The problem I fear ( for my grandchildren and theirs) is the long game that we’ve been allowing too play out. When we let people opposed to our government and constitution come in and begin to congregate to levels of the majority and power; that’s when we have truly lost our country. JMOO
