Outstanding and well-deserved.

"Miss Baker" (as we called her) was the BTAES Principal for my son K-2 when we were there 1976-1978. She made it a point to "know" her students (her 'children') and their families well, as well as the greater German community at large. It is hard to believe she is 97 - she looks and sounds no different than I remember her from those days nearly four decades ago now.

The news station is in error, though, as she is not the only woman to write about SF - Linda Robinson's "Masters of Chaos" is a good read.

“Sometimes the Bible in the hand of one man is worse than a whisky bottle in the hand of (another)… There are just some kind of men who – who’re so busy worrying about the next world they’ve never learned to live in this one, and you can look down the street and see the results.” - To Kill A Mockingbird (Atticus Finch)

“Almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creed into law if it acquires the political power to do so.” - Robert Heinlein
