Thank you, now I’ve got something else to look at.

Edit: It seems similar to the 1st Special Service Force landing on Îles d'Hyères France, August 14 1944 and then linking up with the 1st Airborne Task force in September to hold the Franco Italian border in that they are not part of our main narration of WWII Battles...
That's funny. I knew of the French battle but not the Belarus one. I know little to nothing about the Soviet efforts in the war besides Stalingrad and the final days in Germany.
