His speeches are actually pretty easy to follow because he is the very essence of a low brow SITCOM from the 80's and 90's.
Just imagine imagine one of his recent speeches mildly re-framed in the context of a 20 or 30 year old SITCOM....
My fellow Americans, I'm not saying that there was a list - but he's checking it twice.

-our troubles are all the same
-you just wanna be where everybody knows your name.
That's just the facts of life folks. Not everyone comes home after a war - You take the good you take the bad you take them both and there you have the facts of life.
