I had a thought about how to ask your Dad questions that he might be able to answer and you have a way of understanding.

For starters, find the place at this website that describes each Special Forces "Military Occupation Specialty" (MOS). Read what they all are, then ask your Dad what his "MOS's" are.

I'm sure you know that your dad may be bound as a matter of his job to not talk about details like missions, dates, places and some if not a lot of his training and schools.
This is simply the nature of the job.

If you read here long enough you will note that many things are not discussed for operational and personal security concerns.

Keep any answers to yourself, whatever he chooses to tell you is between you guys.

There are some amazing people here on this board. Be smart enough to take advantage of their knowledge and experience long after your paper is written. Again, I say this is out of respect for your father and yourself.
