Fire near Eiffel Tower an accidental "As reported by police"

OK, sure I'll buy it, but tell me the name of the truck owner, driver and allow them to tell the sheeple how it happened?

Funny, I've not read that version anywhere!

A truck carrying fireworks caught fire next to the Eiffel Tower in Paris just as an attack killed as many as 73 Bastille Day revelers in the French Riviera capital of Nice.

The blaze in Paris ignited at the Pont d'Iéna bridge over the River Seine due to a “technical incident,” the Paris Police Prefecture announced on Twitter Thursday night.

Police officials asked residents to avoid the area but later rejected talk circulating online that the landmark had caught fire as part of an attack on both cities.

“Don't spread false rumors,” police officials said in a statement, according to a translation from French. “No fire to the #TourEiffel. An accidental truck fire took place at Pont d'Iéna. It has been extinguished.”

A Video posted on YouTube showed clouds of black smoke from the blaze surrounding the world-famous tower. There were no reported injuries.
