It has been reported that a warrant was issued. Presumably it met the requirements. Whether it was "legit" depends on what you mean by that. Cf. W.J. Clinton, "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

Perhaps one of the FBI surveillance guys reading this wants to weigh in?
