Most people see the Qur'aan separated into 2 distinct sections (even though it is in order from shortest to longest "chapter"), the Meccan period and the Medinan period. During the Meccan period Mohammed preached peace and understanding (much like the minority muslims in the west do now). Then he was kicked out and fled to Medina where "Allah" seems to have changed his mind. During the Medinan period, Mohammed began to preach the three choices for infidels like me: 1) Death 2) Submission and a tax for not being a believer 3) conversion to islam.
It is interesting to me that every PC establishment in the West defends Islam when the Qur'aan SPECIFICALLY STATES the the highest level of paradise is reserved for martyrs who "die in the name of Allah".
In my mind it is very simple. ISLAM IS THE ENEMY. Welcome to the 8th Crusade everybody.
