Bah! Like many USC fans I have spoken with here in the city of Lost Wages, I am sure you may feel that USC is on their way towards another title. No ND fan I talk to is talking the Irish up at all. Like the head coach said, it's just two games. But I have a feeling the assbeatings we have taken (and NO! I do not need to see the damn scoreboard - I was there. LOL.) the past few years are over. One, Charlie is not letting the team get two high after these two wins over ranked opponents. Two, sooner or later the offense is going to get rolling, but the defense is surprising a lot of people and should have a clearer understanding of what their coaches want at about the time USC comes to town. And everyone knows that the USC defense is not the same brick wall it was in 2004, and I think it plays right into Brady Quinns' hands. They do not have the bulls up front to get to Quinn, and that leaves the screen pass and short passing game in general open for exploiting.
Counselor, I have lost two bets in a row to you on this game, but I am not about to wimper away this year. I bet you when ND was down, so I might as well bet while they are at least pretty decent. It's a month away.

(BTW, I am thinking about attending next years game in USC since it is only a 50 min flight, so maybe I'll see ya there.

I am still bummed about Ohio State losing to Texas. The Longhorns are a tough team and Vince Young is a really strong candidate after this win, but we had him hemmed in pretty good for the last three quarters and we let him throw that pass. And what in the heck was Justin Zwick doing in the game? I love Tressel and trust him, but he better have Troy Smith in their as the starter for the rest of the year. That decision was just.....idiotic. And that dropped TD pass by the TE.....OUCH!
