There was a weapons system a while ago which the U.S. was supposedly looking at which involved a satellite with large i-beams sitting in it. The satellite would recieve a GPS coordinate and drop an Ibeam, which would accelerate through the atmosphere. When it hit something (like a tank) it would simply vaporize it. All that would be seen was a heat wave and then lighting would hit the spot where the tank had formally been. Never finished it because it would weaponise space, but I wonder who the moslems would think Allah was with when we called down some of those things!
