After the author gave me his permission, I wanted to share this with you...

Sir my name is CH (CPT) Primo Davis and I am the battalion chaplain for 1st 502nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne (Air Assault). Ranger school is hopefully in the near future for me and for sometime now I have been considering the opportunity of being a chaplain in the special operations community. It was for this reason that I purchased "Get Selected for Special Forces".

Although the assignment of chaplains to Special Forces units is much different than the average officer, I know that should I be assigned to the special operations community the more knowledge I have, and the more I personally embrace the Special Forces mentality, the better I will be able to serve Special Forces soldiers and their family members as a chaplain.

I read the book in two days, and it only took me that long because it wasn't a weekend. The book is GREAT! I believe the principles you deal with in the book will not only make a soldier "get selected", but when applied in all areas of life will make a man an even greater man than he already is.

The real reason I wanted to drop you a little note was because as a chaplain, I find the book filled with elements of faith and the teachings of the bible. I'm not sure of your exact faith journey, but that fact that you know the Lord is evident in every page of the book. The principles of team work, determination, love for your brother, health, temperance, positive mental attitude etc. are all teachings found throughout the Bible. (As you probably well know) Reading the book not only motivated me as a soldier, but as a chaplain and preacher as well.

I thought you should know, from the unique Infantry Chaplains perspective: TWO THUMBS UP! I will promote this book as much as I can, not only for the valuable content, but for the much worthy cause which it supports. Look for an order with my name on it from my chapel here at Ft. Campbell, so I can get this book in the hands of my guys who need it.
