If you just need something basic to crop, resize, or tweak photos every now and then, I’d go with something that’s straightforward and easy to use right out of the gate. I messed around with GIMP for a bit, but honestly, the interface felt too clunky for casual edits. Photoshop is too much for just simple stuff, and it used to run pretty slow on my old laptop.

I switched to something called movavi a while back when I needed a lightweight editor that didn’t bog down my system. It’s actually beginner-friendly and doesn’t take much to learn, so you won’t get lost just resizing a few images.
