It’s hard to judge sincerity in a political campaign.
Candidates have no choice but to generate sound bites because the people who only pay attention to sound bites cast votes which count the same.
Vivek is presenting some of the right ideas.
That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the right person to implement those ideas.
Younger people are often better at generating ideas because they often haven’t yet suffered the difficult process of implementing those ideas nor suffered severe failures trying.
Their enthusiasm hasn’t dampened, so they bring new life.
But along the same lines, they haven’t suffered the same level of setbacks as a more experienced person may have, so they haven’t developed the intuition necessary to allow for unknowns.
Time and experience develops an intuition about the “size and shape” of the unknown unknowns for a particular endeavor.
The young are too quick to commit their reserves.
