Every time I look at that number, I wonder how our country got into so much debt. What has the leadership of this country been doing for the past 20 years? No matter how they swirl and twirl the tax schemes to try and make even a small dent in that it's not going to work. 30 trillion divided by 300 million comes out to about 100k for every person in this country. It's almost kind of hard to fathom that amount of debt.
Could we sell Alaska to China and pay off that debt? It's cold up there but full of oil.
