...seriously?
I've been using one of these pumps to drain and filter my turkey oil for over a decade.

Step One: cook a delicious deep-fried turkey in a huge pot filled with boiling peanut oil

Step Two: eat tender and delicious deep-fried turkey while the oil cools

Step Three: Once the oil is cool, use this cool battery-operated pump to transfer the oil back into its original container

Step Four: travel back in time to a period prior to step one and purchase one of these cool battery-operated pumps (make sure you buy one that has a filter attachment)

Step Five: time travel back to the present day and store your peanut oil in an air-tight container in a cool dark place so it will keep longer.

Step Six: rinse and repeat until the oil is no longer appetizing

Step Seven: gloat on the internet

If you take a few nice-sized baking potatoes, cut them in wedges, and deep fry them before filtering the oil (like, while the turkey is resting) it seems to extend the life of the oil - wives tale for sure, but I do it anyway
