The conservative base is the same with or without Trump.
Among moderates, hatred for Trump does not translate to love for liberals.

The response to losing among many on the left is that the party isn’t left enough.
I would strongly encourage the Democratic Party to go further left, and be as open about their intentions as possible.


Liberals want conservatives to shut up.
Conservatives want liberals to keep talking.

Exactly. Trump, while ham-fisted and incapable of staying out of his own way long-enough to win an easy re-election, forced a lot of cockroaches out into the open. He essentially was a third party candidate.
