Boosters help, and new vaccines will probably be needed for the variants (or other new diseases).

This is beginning to resemble the planned obsolescence which occurs in manufactured goods.
Combining that with protection from legal liability and defacto mandatory vaccination (vaccine passports, etc.) will create a nice little money printing machine for big pharma.
