I would venture to guess we all had a cook that made an impression on us at sometime. Mine was SP4 Starkey a short stocky prior service guy. He did not drive and had a fondness for Wild Irish Rose. Many was the time I took him to the package store outside of the main gate at Ft. Campbell to get a bottle. He always had a set of nunchuks tucked into cook whites while serving in the chow line. I am sure he was no culinary genius just one of many memorable figures from my military days.
