CF Rifle Drills

I am only a Reservist with minimal weapons handling experience, but some of the new drills just seem ass backwards - especially when they are totally different than the "old way" we were taught. I have spoken to a couple guys in my squadron and they are of the same opinion. I would be curious to hear anyones comments or thoughts? Thanks.
