I believe it’s the upside-down method of of the “OK” hand signal means White-Power or is considered racist by the SPLC/ADL which looks more like a “P” with three legs or III%. You will notice the White-Power guys and that Mickey Mouse character that hold it out over someone’s shoulder or out of their pants pocket. That is the racist use of the “OK” hand sign.
Just sayin’
P.S. If it goes much deeper than that PADI and NADA are going to have to rewrite the whole SCUBA diving handbook because “OK” means “OK!”
