This guy's name popped up again so I looked for more details. I have no idea how officer career paths work but it seems he served only 4 years (2002-2006) as a PL in the 82nd and still had enough time remaining to be able to jump over to 2/75. As for two deployment with 2/75, the 75th eventually transitioned to 90 day rotations but I don't know how early in the war they made that adjustment.
